  1. What is the cross street?
    We are located on the south-west corner of Jones and Sacramento Streets, right across from Grace Cathedral, on the top of prestigious Nob Hill.

  2. How long does it take to downtown and the financial district?
    Walking: 15 minutes downhill; Cable car: 10 minutes; Bus: 5 minutes

  3. What about parking?
    We offer parking either in our our building or at a nearby garage. Please contact the manager about rates and availability.

  4. What about public transportation?
    MUNI bus line #1 runs on Sacramento St. and the cable car on California St.; both stop just one block from NHP and run across town on an east-west axis. Numerous bus lines also run on Van Ness Ave, which is 5 blocks from NHP. See yahoo.sf or sfmuni.com or transitinfo.org for more.

  5. Is there phone service?
    Each apartment comes with working phone service and a private number that can be dialed-in directly. Voice mail and unlimited local calls are free. Long distance and international calls are billed separately. Our DSL service is wireless and has nothing to do with our phone service.

  6. How about DSL?
    We offer free high-speed Internet access in any apartment. Our wireless DSL service is available for desktop and laptop computers. Required wireless equipment can be supplied and installed by Nob Hill Place. Please inquire.

  7. Where can I do my laundry?
    Coin-operated washing machines and dryers are located in the building. Many laundry service providers and dry cleaners are located in the neighborhood .

  8. Can we bring pets?
    We do accept pets; an additional $500 deposit is required, plus an additional $200 per month rent.

  9. How large are the beds? How many fit in one bedroom?
    All beds at Nob Hill Place are queen size, with the exception of a few standard-sized Murphy beds in some of the more traditional units. Rollaway beds for additional guests can be arranged through the manager.

  10. How safe is the neighborhood?
    Nob Hill is one of the safest areas in San Francisco and Nob Hill Place is located within two blocks of San Francisco's most exclusive hotels, the Fairmont, the Mark Hopkins, and Huntington Hotel.

  11. What kind of security does the building have?
    Intercom with 24 hr service, manager on duty outside office hours for emergencies.

  12. Is there an Elevator?
    There are two elevators in the building.

  13. Where do I find shops and services?
